Last Friday we took Heather our cat in to the vet because she had stopped eating two days earlier. We discovered that she had a large tumor in her belly. Surgery was scheduled for yesterday morning, but it was then discovered that the cancer was very aggressive and had already spread to most of her other organs.

She was my constant companion for more than 11 years. From the moment I brought her home from the Humane Society in a card­board box and she promptly fell asleep on my pillow, she stole my heart. My time with her went by too quickly.

If you have a pet, give them some extra love tonight.

Gillian and George’s wedding was an intimate gath­ering of family and close friends at the Urban Element.

I joined up with the über talented Susan Stripling to shoot a few weddings with her, at the end of my swing through the Southeast US. This first wedding was in Naples, Florida. Sure wish we had some of this gorgeous light up here!
