I'm a photographer, and this blog is all about sharing my work. Through the images presented here I hope you'll experience the fun, energy, honesty and emotion I have been entrusted to document.

I specialize in the photography of family history because I love to create memorable images of real life, both for you and for your entire family. If that sounds interesting, drop me a line. I’d love to talk with you.

Until then, welcome.

Kerri and Kurtis’s wedding was held at the Perth Manor, and we had a great time despite the rain!

…and my favourite image of the day, after their husky showed up for a few photos:

I’m happy to say that I was recently invited to join, and was accepted as a member of, the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. This organization has a strict membership review process and requires photographers to meet high standards in the areas of experience and professionalism. Members must also adhere to a rigorous code of conduct which ensures clients can expect to be treated fairly and professionally. I’m honoured to be accepted into the ISPWP! You can see my listing here :)

The Diva Foundation

I had the honour and privilege to photograph the first Diva Foundation awards gala tonight. The mission statement of the foundation is to recognize outstanding contributions to women’s health and well being. The first award winner was Maureen McTeer, pictured here with her husband Joe Clark.

The list of accomplishments that Ms McTeer has achieved is too long for a simple blog post, but (to put it mildly) she is imminently deserving of the recognition. The award includes a specially designed pin, and a cheque, donated to create a Chair in Women?s Clinical Health Research at the Shirley E. Greenberg Women?s Health Centre at the Ottawa Hospital. She also received a framed copy of the congratulatory letter from Micha?lle Jean, the Governor General.

She was introduced by the Right Honourable Beverly McLachlin, Chief Justice of Canada, and (if I may say so) a pretty fun person to be around.

This was a fun engagement session: we started at the intersection of Conroy and Hunt Club, where the two of them first met, and then went to a Starbucks where they met for coffee on their first date. :)

Chrissy called me about a year ago to schedule a session with her far flung family, and it took until today to get everyone in the same place :)
