I'm a photographer, and this blog is all about sharing my work. Through the images presented here I hope you'll experience the fun, energy, honesty and emotion I have been entrusted to document.

I specialize in the photography of family history because I love to create memorable images of real life, both for you and for your entire family. If that sounds interesting, drop me a line. I’d love to talk with you.

Until then, welcome.

Nine months in the making

I’m happy to say that over the years I have been a photographer many of my clients have become friends. One such couple is Caroline and Tom. I first met these two about four years ago when I photographed their wedding and since then we’ve spent many the evening huddled over one board game or another.

When they let it slip that they were preggers, I talked them into doing a time-lapse shoot. Nine months later, little Vanessa popped out and we had some neat photos to work with. Here are three of the collages that are my faves.

The first is a rotation, and even though I got the angle slightly wrong in month three, it’s still pretty neat-o.

Here’s a close-up of month one vs month 9 :)

Good thing we picked a stretchy top. It also matches my blog colours nicely  :)

This next one worked out aces. My fave single image is the second to last one. It’s also really clear which image was taken right after they returned from 2 weeks in the Caribbean :)

Congrats guys, and thanks for indulging me :)

Carrie + Adam’s Winter Wedding

January 11th, 2012

When I was talking with Carrie about her wedding plans in the early fall, we both made our wishes for fresh snow to help make the New Years Eve wedding extra special. And lucky for them, Mother Nature delivered! So that together with their no-fear attitude got them some great photos.

The day started at Carrie’s parent’s home, with carrie and the ladies getting ready, and Dad on babysitting patrol.

Then it was off to St Theresa’s Church in Ottawa for the main event.

After the ceremony, we went for a quick walk to take advantage of the freshly-fallen snow.

After playing around outside in the snow, we headed across the river to the Château Cartier for the party.

Of course, we snuck outside for some night-time magic, and then it was back inside to ring in the new year :)

Congrats guys!
