In addition to being the only photog­rapher in Ottawa who is a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association, I have also been accepted into the Artistic Guild of the WPJA, a sub-organization that recog­nizes excel­lence in post-production and the practice of fine art photography.

The Wedding Photojournalist Association is an inter­na­tional orga­ni­zation specif­i­cally for those photog­ra­phers that practice wedding photog­raphy in a docu­mentary style. The WPJA restricts its membership to? those wedding photog­ra­phers that actually practice wedding jour­nalism and docu­mentary style photog­raphy, and I’m happy to say that I remain the only photog­rapher in Ottawa to be approved for membership.

I’m happy to say that I was recently invited to join, and was accepted as a member of, the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. This orga­ni­zation has a strict membership review process and requires photog­ra­phers to meet high stan­dards in the areas of expe­rience and profes­sion­alism. Members must also adhere to a rigorous code of conduct which ensures clients can expect to be treated fairly and profes­sionally. I’m honoured to be accepted into the ISPWP!
