I'm a photographer, and this blog is all about sharing my work. Through the images presented here I hope you'll experience the fun, energy, honesty and emotion I have been entrusted to document.

I specialize in the photography of family history because I love to create memorable images of real life, both for you and for your entire family. If that sounds interesting, drop me a line. I’d love to talk with you.

Until then, welcome.

‘Ottawa Arbouretum’ Entries

A Year in Griffin’s Life, Session Four

I met up with Martine and Stephen and the fam at the Arboretum for the last of their Year in the Life sessions. It’s always fun to see how much these two have grown between sessions :)

The previous session can be seen here here and here.

A Year in Christian’s Life, Session Four

For the fourth session in Erika and Michael’s Year in the Life, we met up at the arboretum in the nice hot weather! It’s such a neat feeling to be able to document the life of a new baby, I can’t wait to create their album :)

Their previous session can be found here here and here.

  1. Erika wrote “Mike thanks for an amazing year of pictures! Having a photoshoot outdoors was a lot of fun and the results are well worth the intense heat that we had to endure that day ;) Your patience with Christian, your easy going personality, your attention to detail, and the unique vision that you have are all truly appreciated. We can't wait to get the album because we know is going to be a keepsake that we will cherish forever.”

Christina an Kent’s engagement shoot at Dows Lake…along with a happy weiner dogs :)

It’s been fun and a pleasure to create photos for Patti and Tom as Brooke has grown over the last two years. This year, our annual shoot was at the arboretum on that really warm October day we had…remember that? Brooke is a full fledged cutie pie!

Kristin + Matt: Engaged

I met up with Kristin and Matt on a warmish October afternoon with their dog Lola. Fall is a great time for colourful images :)
