I'm a photographer, and this blog is all about sharing my work. Through the images presented here I hope you'll experience the fun, energy, honesty and emotion I have been entrusted to document.

I specialize in the photography of family history because I love to create memorable images of real life, both for you and for your entire family. If that sounds interesting, drop me a line. I’d love to talk with you.

Until then, welcome.

A Year in Gabriel’s Life, Session Three

It’s been a while since I got to hang out with Melanie and Darren, but I had the opportunity to catch up with them recently for session three in Gabriel’s Year in the Life. He’s grown a lot since his baby photos, and already has favourite places and things.

A Year in the Life of Ianto, Session Two

My last entry was about how Been and Shawn didn’t want to share then name of their at-that-time unborn baby. Well, little Ianto (yan-toe) arrived right on schedule and shortly thereafter I was on my way over to make some photos of his itty bitty self. Enjoy! And contrats guys! :)

Bee and Shawn are expecting, and since the name for there soon-to-be-arriving family member is a closely guarded secret, you’ll have to stay tuned to find out the name they’ve chosen :) We know Huxley of course, although he’s grown quite a bit!

Summer Portraits in Kenora

Every year I try to get out to the family cottage in Kenora, and this year I was lucky enough to have the time free in my schedule so off we went with Sophie in tow. I also brought along my camera equipment and did some portrait sessions for members of the Zig Zag Yacht Club, based on Lake of the Woods. It worked out well and we had a lot of fun getting to know a few new families. I hope to go back next year for more fun in the sun!

A Year in Wesley’s Life, Session One

Krista and Steve first came into my life in 2008 when they booked me to photograph their wedding. What struck me first was Krista’s quirky sense of humour and Steve’s impressive geek creds. After their engagement session I knew they were going to be a blast on their wedding day, and I wasn’t wrong!  Since then they’s kicked my ass at Settlers of Catan, and bumped into them at the first Ottawa ComicCon…my kind of people :)  Fast forward to today and we welcome their first child Wesley into their family with the first session in A Year in Wesley’s Life. I’m looking forward to getting to know you, Wes!

This one is for you Firefly fans out there!
